Motor Expo 2009 will be Vibrant
Bookings Exceed Target as Confidence in Spending is Revived

Area bookings have been brisk for “THE 26th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2009” that will be hosted by Inter-Media Consultant under the concept DRIVING... FOR SUSTAINABILITY. Over 90% of the total space have already been taken up by car and accessory companies.
Mr. Prapongse Maijarern, Deputy Organizing Chairman of “THE 26th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2009” revealed, “Area bookings have turned out to be very satisfactory, far exceeding our expectation. Car companies have booked 92% and vendors of car audio and accessories have taken up 95% of the available spaces, mostly staying put to their previous areas”.
The car company that booked the largest display area (1,480 sq. m.) is Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand), followed by Toyota Motor Thailand, Honda Automobile (Thailand) and Mazda Sales (Thailand) which booked areas of 1,360 sq. m. each. Also close behind is Nissan Motor (Thailand) at 1,280 sq. m.
More car companies than last year also plan to display prototype cars and new models such as Grand Carryboy, Chevrolet, Chery, Ssangyong, Suzuki, Subaru, Toyota, TATA, Nissan, Proton, Peugeot, Fiat, Volkswagen, Mazda, Mitsubishi, Isuzu, Hyundai and Honda.
The Organizing Chairman Mr. Kwanchai Paphatphong added, “The timing of the Motor Expo is special in the motoring calendar because car companies are about to wrap up their sales figures against the annual targets, so they have to come up with some terrific promotional packages to entice the buyers. In any case, car companies are pretty certain that consumer confidence and spending in the auto industry will be revived by the year end”.
“THE 26th THAILAND INTERNATIONAL MOTOR EXPO 2009” will be held at IMPACT Challenger 1-3, Muang Thong Thani, during 2 – 13 December, 2009. Find out more details at www.motorexpo.co.th.
