Chevrolet Trailblazer Thai Debut Tomorrow - Detailed Preview
Submitted by peter on 20 March, 2012 - 15:56.Chevrolet is to unveil the all-new Chevrolet TrailBlazer in Thailand tomorrow, March 21st. The launch will be broadcast online and the launch event pre-empts the Bangkok International Motor Show which kicks off next week.
Although the image above would make it seem like there is still some mystery about the look of the new SUV, much of the mystery is already spoiled by previous unveils of pre-production version of the new Trailblazer, and what we already know of the new Colorado on which the Trailblazer is based, and which is already on sale.
So rather than waiting for tomorrow's launch, let's look at what we already know.

Cruze Estate Launch Previews Booted Facelift
Submitted by peter on 7 March, 2012 - 10:02.The Chevrolet Cruze is purring along quite nicely in Thailand, but while other markets have a hatchback option, we are still limited to a "standard-for-Thailand" sedan version. Mazda and Ford are alone in offering hatchbacks in this segment, and it seems unlikely that Chevrolet with join that particular war, but there is another Cruze that might make it to Thailand: The Chevrolet Cruze Estate.

Is my house flooded?
Submitted by peter on 2 November, 2011 - 17:10.I stumbled upon this extremely useful website today. It is completely self evident what is going on when you look at the site, although it is in Thai.
But in case there is any doubt, you look for the postal code of the area you are interested in, and you will see a percentage of flooding. The other figure is the number of new updates the site has received within that area.
So, if you are out of town and wondering if your area is flooded yet, or you are planing to travel within Bangkok, this might help.

Submitted by peter on 28 August, 2011 - 03:11.Photos of the 2012 Toyota Camry were leaked a few weeks ago, but those were of the North American version. Now we have images of the model that interests us, the one that is a much closer match for the Thai market version.
So what can be said about the new 2012 Toyota Camry? Well, I think it's fair to say that the overall look of the car is okay. Although everything has changed and this is an all-new car, it retains a familiarity that is somehow comforting.

Of course, these batteries are probably not all that special if you are used to living in a part of the world where virtually all batteries are modern, and maintenance free. And if you are like me, battery technology probably won't be getting you too excited. However, the effort from GS is appreciated and worth a mention.

With the Nissan March and the Honda Brio leading the way in eco-car sales, Toyota has yet to join the cheap-car party.
The Yaris and Vios are getting old, and although a 2012 Yaris is being prepared for Europe and other markets, there is reason to suspect that Toyota might drop the Yaris and Vios, and replace them with an entirely new car. Oh boy!
Let's take a look at the Toyota Etios, a car which looks like Toyota's most likely contender for Thailand's eco-car project.
