Do we change our oil and tires too often?
There is an interesting article in this week's Bangkok Post Motoring section that raises the issue of needless oil and tire changes, under the advice of those supplying these products.
Check it out. You could save yourself a few baht.
But I'm not sure I would trust tires after 3 or 4 years no matter what they look like. I have found that grip levels deteriorate over time, particularly in wet conditions. This is just my experience. I'd be interested to hear how often you change your tires, and oil, and if you think that this article is correct.
For the oil changes I'm in complete agreement with the author, provided that the oil is good quality, there is no need to change at 5,000 km.
What do you think?
