2009 Nissan Teana in the Wild in Thailand
The Nissan Teana is due to be updated for 2009 and we recently posted a brief article about it. Now, the 2009 Nissan Teana has been spotted and photographed in Thailand.
The images show a car that is identical to the images we featured before, but there is one thing that is revealed in the image below:
The model number on the right reads "250 XV". This means that the Teana is upgraded to the VQ25DE, a 2.5 litre V6, from the 2.3 litre unit currently employed.
There is some lettering under the model number that is covered in the image, and difficult to make out. Perhaps CVT, as it is expected that the Teana will use a continuously variable transmission in place of the standard torque converter transmission in the current car.
There isn't much new information to infer from these photos, but we can assume that the Teana will be launched as soon as Nissan managed to move their old stock of 1st generation cars.
